Event Info

The South West Mudfest is the mud run for everyone!

Whilst the South West region of WA is best known for its wine and waves, we have a jam-packed day full of mud, burgers and beers planned for you instead.

After a muddy good time in 2017, we look forward to getting down and dirty with you again at Bootleg Brewery in 2018!

The Dirty Dozen is a long course that will test your fitness and endurance as well as skill. Get your mates together and settle the score with them once and for all! Check out our Full Course Map here!

Taking place in the morning, the Dirty Dozen means you can relax and enjoy your Bootleg burger and beer once you’ve finished, or double up and take on the Short Course in the arvo!

Time: 8:00am-12:00pm.

Expected time to finish: 1-2 hours

Length: 12km

Fitness Level: Moderate to High

Age: 15+

A shorter, fun 5km course for those who just want to get covered in mud!

But don’t let the smaller distance fool you though, you’ll still get to have a go at a heap of obstacles. Check out our Full Course Map here!

The Mud Mayhem will take place in the afternoon before you kick back and enjoy a Bootleg burger and drink to round out the day.

Time: 1:00pm-5:00pm.

Expected time to finish: 0.5 - 1 hour

Length: 5km

Fitness Level: All

Age: 12+

1km Kids Course

Kids course full of exciting obstacles and muddy good times, with enough obstacles to guarantee worn-out mud cubs by the end of the day. Plus each child is rewarded with a sausage sizzle and a can of soft drink at the finish line! The course runs every 10 minutes from 11:00AM to 12noon and will take each mud cub about 20 to 30 minutes to complete. Please note that to prevent congestion each wave is limited to 70 participants, so make sure you book ahead to secure your spot! Ages 6-12 years can participate in this mud run (all children must be accompanied by a parent; however, parents do not need to purchase a ticket).

Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm.

Expected time to finish: 20 to 30 minutes

Length: Approx. 1km

Fitness Level: Moderate

Age: 6 to 12 years.

We don’t want to give too much away, but our obstacles have a distinct South West flavour. Think tractor tyres, bird netting, dams, beer kegs and of course, MUD! With our unique South West location, we can confidently say we are the muddiest mud run around!

There will be obstacles of varying difficulties and sizes, made all the more fun by a good coat of glorious mud.

Expect 2017 favourites including Sniper in the Pines, Contain Yourself and the Keg Hurdle to be back in 2018 alongside a number of new exciting obstacles!

Expect the best of the best, without electric shocks!

You all deserve a prize for finishing our tough but awesome courses, so that’s why a Bootleg burger and drink is included in your registration!

But we also have a few more fantastic prizes to be won!

Fastest Male and Fastest Female – Think you can slide and climb through that mud fast enough? For the first wave of each run, we will be awarding the Fastest Male & Female! So make sure you register for the 9am wave of the Dirty Dozen or the 1pm wave of the Mud Mayhem, or BOTH, to ensure you have the chance to win!

We are also awarding the BEST DRESSED for the day! So get in the spirit of the event and pull on some fancy dress to be in the running for a prize!

To avoid over-crowding on the course and to provide everyone with the best experience, participants will be divided into staggered starting waves.

Waves will start in 10-15 minute intervals to spread competitors across the course and prevent queues at obstacles.

When registering you will be asked to select your preferred start wave time. Waves are allocated on a first in basis.

We want to make sure everyone has a fun and safe time at the South West Mudfest.

Mud and obstacle racing is a dangerous sport, so we ask you to please recognise this and note that you are responsible for your own health insurance.

To help ensure your safety, we will be joined by an Event First Aid Team that will include Surf Lifesaving reps, an ambulance and other trained personnel who are all there to look after any troubles on the day.

In addition to all of the safety precautions we have in place, we ask you to please remember to exercise respect to other participants at all times.

Before entry and competing it is compulsory for everyone to carefully read the Event Policy & Terms and Conditions Here!
