Get Prepared

Bootleg Brewery logo

You may know Margaret River for its wine, but did you know the area is also home to some sweet breweries?

Bootleg is an award-winning brewery that also serves up delicious food in an awesome, family-friendly venue. We couldn’t think of a more perfect location for the South West Mudfest! After you finish out on the course, enjoy a hot shower and celebrate all your hard work with some of their famous brews and food.

Where To Stay

Bootleg Brewery is halfway between the heart of Busselton and the beautiful Margaret River region, so why not make a weekend out of it and head down for a relaxing getaway during the school holidays?

There is accommodation to suit all need and tastes in the region, nice and close to Bootleg Brewery.

Your Margaret River Region and Trip Advisor have a huge selection of accommodation options in both Busselton and Margaret River. Alternatively Abbey Beach Resort is the perfect place to relax and unwind in comfort, set right on the beach in Busselton.

Food & Drink

For the 2018 South West Mudfest participants will no longer receive a burger and beer as part of their registration cost. Due to feedback from previous years, we understand not all family members want the added value and prefer to have a lower registration cost.

Instead, Bootleg Brewery will be putting on a feast fit for kings in the Event Village, to keep those grumbling bellies at bay post your muddy run. They will have many delicious food options available for purchase, as well as a bar for a sneaky post-run craft beer.

Food will also be available from the Bootleg Brewery restaurant which will be open for walk in’s only. Bootleg will be open after the event for you to kick-on and the enjoy the brewery!

Getting There

Bootleg Brewery is located on Puzey Road, Wilyabrup – approximately a 3 hour drive south of Perth. Have a look on Google Maps for directions on how to get there. We suggest that you make a weekend out of it; book some accommodation and enjoy a weekend away in the South West region!

Good news – for the 2018 South West Mudfest we are losing the buses and providing parking in a paddock close to Bootleg Brewery off Puzey Road, just a short walk to the Event Village.  Our friendly parking marshals will be there on the day to point you in the right direction.

Please remember to bring your gold coin donation for the local sporting clubs and to arrive a minimum of one hour prior to your wave time.

And remember, if you’re planning to enjoy a few of Bootleg Brewery’s mouth-watering craft brews after your muddy run, keep safe and appoint a skipper.

Parking will not be permitted at Bootleg Brewery unless you have an ACROD permit and no parking is available on any nearby roads.

Spectators are encouraged to come along to the South West Mudfest and cheer on those getting muddy!

Spectators should position themselves in the Event Village, where some viewing areas will provide some great sights of the surrounding course.
