Bootleg is an award-winning brewery in the south-west region of WA. Their family-friendly venue will be the NEW Event Village for the 2019 Mudfest, full of fun and entertainment! Here you’ll be able to find the start/finish lines, check-in point, facilities, refreshments, live entertainment and even a playground for the kids – the village has it all!

Not only will their mouth-watering brews and ciders be on tap on the day, they’ll also be serving up delicious range of gourmet foods fit for a king and all his fussy children.  We couldn’t think of a more perfect location for the South West Mudfest! After you finish out on the course, enjoy a hot shower and celebrate all your hard work with some of their famous brews and bites.

 


Getting There

Bootleg Brewery is located on Puzey Road, Wilyabrup – approximately a 3 hour drive south of Perth. Have a look on Google Maps for directions on how to get there.

We suggest that you make a trip out of your visit to the region – book some accommodation for the long weekend and enjoy a relaxing time away in the South West region!

What To Bring

  1. Your confirmation email – either printed out or displayed on your phone
  2. Clean clothes + a towel for after your HOT shower
  3. A plastic bag for your muddy clothes
  4. Photo ID for your beer/cider
  5. A gold coin donation for both the valuables drop & parking
  6. Cash for a delicious coffee, tasty food or a thirst-quenching beer, and for any on the day registrations, if not sold out prior
  7. A leash and doggy bags if you’re participating in the Muddy Paws Challenge
  8. A big smile and a fun attitude… time to get muddy!!

Where To Stay

Bootleg Brewery is halfway between the heart of Busselton and the beautiful Margaret River region, so why not make the most of your trip and enjoy the long-weekend away during the spring school holidays?

There is accommodation to suit all needs and tastes in the region, nice and close to Bootleg Brewery.

Your Margaret River Region and Trip Advisor have a huge selection of accommodation options in both Busselton and Margaret River. Alternatively, Abbey Beach Resort is the perfect place to relax and unwind in comfort, set right on the beach in Busselton.

Parking & Drop Off

DRIVE + PARK: Event parking will be located at Bootleg Brewery off Puzey Road, a short walk from the South West Mudfest Event Village. Our friendly parking marshals will be there on the day to point you in the right direction to the parking paddock. Please remember to bring your gold coin donation for the local sporting clubs and to arrive a minimum of one hour prior to your wave time. Parking will not be permitted at Bootleg Brewery unless you have an ACROD permit and no parking is available on any nearby roads. And remember, if you’re planning to enjoy a few of Bootleg Brewery’s mouth-watering craft brews after your muddy run, keep safe and appoint a skipper.

DRIVE + DROP: We have a drop off zone for competitors located at Bootleg Brewery off Wildberry Road. We will have parking marshals on the day who will direct you through the roundabout. Please note, this is only for drop offs and parking will not be permitted in the drop off zone.

What To Do When I Arrive

  1. Please arrive 1 hour before your wave start time to allow time to get ready for your muddy run.
  2. Once you have parked, head to the check-in tent to sign-in and receive your t-shirt and wristband.
  3. Drop you phone, wallet and keys off at the valuables drop for a gold coin donation to local sporting clubs.
  4. Drop your clothes and bags off at the changerooms.
  5. Head to the start line to begin your warm up!

Spectators

Spectators are encouraged to come along to the South West Mudfest to cheer on those getting muddy at the start/finish line and enjoy the entertainment offered in the Event Village.

There unfortunately are no viewing spots out on course for the Mud Mayhem and Muddy Paws Challenge due to safety reasons.

For those parents/guardians who don’t want to participate in the Kids Course, they are welcome to spectate on the side of this course.
