All you need to know about creating a team

The Swan Valley Mudfest is all about running a muck and sharing some laughs with family and friends! So why not grab a group together and run as a team? Better yet, dress up and be in the chance to win the Best Dressed Prize for the day!

There are two simple ways to register and create a team, just follow the instructions below:


ALL TEAM MEMBERS REGISTERED AND PAID FOR TOGETHER:

This option is best for those who are registering children under the age of 18 years and who know the personal details of all of the teammates. It is also recommended if you want to ensure everyone in your team can fit into the same time wave, plus it’s better value if you choose the family pass option (which you can also use for teams of 4 people):

  1. The Team Captain needs to be the first person to register, and will be the person who pays for all registrations. The captain is able to see who else is registered in the team through MyEvents and manage their team. For more information on managing your team, click here. The Team Captain need to be 18+ years.
  2. The Team Captain needs to choose their preferred time wave via the Swan Valley Mudfest registration link. On the second page of the registration process under SELECT PARTICIPANT, the Team Captain needs to choose “Yourself, 18+ or older” and fill in the rest of the registration as themselves.
  3. Under TEAM INFORMATION select “Create A Team”. Type in the team name of your preference.
  4. The Team Captain can then continue to finish their registration as usual, and when you reach the CHECKOUT page, select “+ Add Another Registration” located on the top right corner.
  5. You can then continue to register all the other members of the team. Please ensure you select the same time wave as the Team Captains registration, and on the second page under SELECT PARTICIPANT that you select “Someone Else, 18 0r Over” or “Someone Else, 18 0r Under” to ensure you don’t double up on registering yourself.
  6. Under TEAM INFORMATION select “Join A Team” and the team you created in the first registration will be an automatic option. Simply select this team and finish the registration.
  7. You can repeat these steps to add as many team members as you’d like.


ALL TEAM MEMBERS REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY:

This option is best for those who want to register in their own time and pay their own way.

  1. The Team Captain needs to be the first person to register. The captain is able to see who else has registered in the team through MyEvents and manage their team. For more information on managing your team, click here.
  2. The Team Captain needs to register for their preferred time wave via the Swan Valley Mudfest registration link. On the second page of the registration process under TEAM INFORMATION select “Create A Team”. Type in the team name of your preference.
  3. The Team Captain can then continue to finish their registration as usual and the team will be created upon payment.
  4. All other team members can then register themselves through the Swan Valley Mudfest registration link, but they need to make sure they choose the same time wave as the Team Captain.
  5. The only difference is, under TEAM INFORMATION they select “Join A Team” and type in the name of the team they want to join. The matching team options will show in a drop-down box below. Simply select the team you want to join into, and finish your registration.
  6. When registering individually, please keep in mind that the time wave of your preference may sell out in the time it takes for all team members to register, as without payment we cannot guarantee their will be spots available. The best way to prevent this is for one person to register all team members in the one transaction.
